Intermittent Fasting: You Need To Try It Out!

diet nutrition Jun 23, 2023

I've been doing intermittent fasting for quite some time now. And I love it so much, that I always try to encourage other people to give it a shot as well.

It's been doing wonders for my energy levels, for years now.
I always feel more focused while I'm in the fasting window and whenever I run several intermittent fasting days back-to-back, it's like my energy - in regards to performance on the mats - becomes so much more consistent.

Because of that, several days ago I went ahead and tried something I've never done before. A 60 hour fast.
And while it was challenging (especially in those last few hours), I felt so many positive side effects that it felt unreal:

  1. My mind was super focused and energized
  2. Consequently, my productivity levels were off the charts. I think I've done a week's worth of work in these 2.5 days
  3. I had so much energy, up until late into the night
  4. Also, I didn't need much sleep. I would wake up on my own after 4-5 hours and didn't feel the need to go back to bed

Of course, don't go for the 60h fast immediately.
Consult with your doctor first and then, if they give you a thumbs up, go for the usual intermittent fasting protocols; such as the 14-10 (14-hour fasting and 10-hour feeding window) or the 16-8 one.

Try it for a day or two, see how it feels.
Chances are that you'll love it. And that you'll feel much more focused and ready to win, both on the mats and in life alike!
