Who's telling this story
Rafael Lovato Jr., one of the most decorated grapplers of his generation & American history maker. First person to ever Grand Slam in 2007 & first American Gi & NoGi World Champion. Two time ADCC finalist. Competing at a World Class level for over two decades.
In 2022, he competed at ADCC one last time, finished fourth, and walked away certain he was done. Then he became a father. And the thing he expected to end his competitive career turned out to be the reason he came back.
